5 Super Cool Stuff at Singapore's First Ever Campus Party

At Singapore’s - and Asia’s - FIRST ever Campus Party, Tech Storm is proud to be their Media Partner for this inaugural event. We’ve brought you a list of five super cool stuff to do this weekend at Campus Party!

At the Microverse, you can get to build your own drone from scratch and fly it through a UV-lighted racecourse specially created for Campus Party Singapore; you can also see how the “pilots” fly their drones through this racecourse with a VR headset and joysticks. If you think it is simple, sign up for the Drone Race where you can pit your drone piloting skills with fellow participants!

There will also be the highly anticipated Swarm Drone Performance which will take place here as well, so be sure to drop by!

The Fulldome.pro

This magnificent structure took over 4 hours to set up! From the outside, it seems just like an ordinary igloo, but the magic happens once you step in. You will be immersed in a full 360 degree theatre experience with stunning visuals showcasing many shows such as Samskara - a journey into the mind created in partnership with digital artist Android Jones and Flight of Fancy - where you can experience the adrenaline rush with Felix Baumgartner on his October 2012 jump from a balloon at the edge of space to Earth, almost 39,000 meters below.

Gaming Zone

This awesome place is the heaven for gamers - full of PCs filled with your favourite games such as PUBG, Dota2, CSGO. In addition to a round-the-clock LAN, there will be many mini-competitions happening here so make sure to catch them to see the challengers battle it out!

To Infinity and Beyond

Join Gabe Gabrielle, NASA engineer and motivational speaker, as he shares with you his life story - from how he got into NASA to his fascination for shuttles takeoffs. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the slides:

It’s not everyday that you get to hear from a NASA engineer, so mark your calendars for his talk and come on down!

Artificial Intelligence: A Close Look at Boob Cleavage

Last but not least, you cannot miss this fascinating showpiece whereby Annabelle Kwok, 25 and founder of two AI startups, will be demonstrating how to teach the computer to discern how “deep” your v-neck t-shirt or bikini should be. She will also bring you through the entire process of developing a neural network model - from data collection to implementation. You can definitely look forward to a fun-filled session with her!

In fact, we have an exclusive 1-to-1 interview with Annabelle in our next section, where we uncover FIVE things that most people do not know about her - check it out here!
