Days of just watching regular 2D videos flooding your Facebook news feed might be coming to an end - but in a very positive way. Facebook has just unveiled a new video feature named 360 videos which will allow you to produce, share, explore and capture life experiences in a 360-degree video.
This new 360 video feature will allow us to further share life experiences - from massive music parties like Tomorrowland to holidays in rural parts of the Sahara - with your friends and loved ones in a more immersive and mesmeric manner like none other.
As much as this new feature is amazing, it has one slight issue. Not everyone can make use of this feature just yet (much like its Live feed feature). Only a select few companies like Star Wars, Discovery and GoPro will get to share their 360 videos for now.
However, this feature is not available for the masses - for now. The issue with this feature is that you need specialised cameras to capture the scene you are videorecording simultaneously - which is something our Smartphones or camcorders are unable to do.
Web and Android users will be one of the first to be able to get their hands on this new 360 video feature soon. iOS users on the other hand, will have to wait for a couple of months.
So if you want to experience the new feature for yourself, click here to get a taste of what the 360 video can do.
