Glints, glamour and a whole lot of awards were presented at SiTF’s Gala Dinner last evening in Singapore

At the SiTF (Singapore infocomm Technology Federation)Award Gala Dinner held at Singapore’s Raffles Convention Centre last evening, Gold, Silver and Bronze winners were crowned. This year, the competition for the coveted award was more intense than ever with over 300 nominations of which only 92 finalists were shortlisted and it spanned across 10 award categories.

This year here were more entries of a higher quality which made the competition tougher than before. “In the public sector, the standard of innovation and the elegant application of technology to derive solutions were highly impressive. We also had a good mix of startups and SMEs in the consumer space. This is a good sign and shows the maturity of our infocomm industry and sophistication of deployment,” said Lim Swee Cheang, Senior Adviser, Institute of Systems Science, National University of Singapore, one of the judges and an awards committee member this year.

After the award ceremony, we spoke to Yamini Joshi, Senior Operations Manager and part of Zimplistic’s founding team on what winning the award meant to Zimplistic. “This award is extremely important for us because it gives us recognition and credibility as a software product.
